Here we go again: another year, another hike, another challenge!
This time around me and other colleagues will attempt to hike Cotopaxi Volcano in Ecuador at 5,897mt (19,347ft).
I’ve been thinking a lot on how to make this challenge meaningful and decided to partner with “One Tree Planted” to help reforest our planet! Specifically, South American forests have been an important place of reflection in my past, which helped me to look at things from a different and better perspective. That is why this year I decided to make my own personal contribution.
Reforestation helps reduce carbon dioxide levels, provides more oxygen to our planet, protect wildlife and is the single greatest thing we can do to combat climate change.
Every dollar donated plants a tree!
One Tree Planted is a non-profit environmental charity focused on global reforestation. You can learn more about their mission by clicking on their website at onetreeplanted.org.
Can’t donate a monetary gift? They also have a social media campaign on Instagram called #breathefortrees where you can post a picture of you holding your breath for nature and in exchange they will plant a tree for you!
Any small contribution would make a difference in the restoration of our planet.
Thanks a lot for your support.
